Originally formed in 1975, the Northern Ireland band struck sonic gold in 1978 with the release of their debut single, “Teenage Kicks.” Declared by famed English DJ John Peel to be his favorite record of all time, the phenomenally catchy “Teenage Kicks” has become a classic of punk and new wave, and has been covered in varying fashion by groups like the Vibrators, Seabear, and Nouvelle Vague.
