If the weeks following Comic-Con have you suffering from cosplay withdrawal, don’t worry — we’ve got your methadone right here. The Star Wars-themed video for “Love and Leave,” by Chicago’s Scattered Trees, tells the story of the unlikely romance between a storm trooper and his captive princess.
The clever premise and twist ending make for an entertaining video, but the real star of the show is Scattered Trees’ slow-burning ballad. “Love and Leave” can be found on the band’s emotional debut album, Sympathy, now available for purchase.
You can also pick up a copy in person this Friday, August 5 at the Casbah, when Scattered Trees play with The Alternate Routes. Tickets for the show can be bought here. Slave Leia outfits are optional but, as always, highly recommended.
