For the second year in a row, Stephen Colbert predicted the winners in all major Academy Award categories. Note: this clip appeared TV on February 12.
His methodology is a little shaky, but he gets them right despite a little discomfort.

I give him a 4/5 plus one bonus point for bigotry, thus 5/5.
I would just like to point out, in Harry’s defense, that he never actually bothered to watch the clip before writing about it, so his integrity remains intact in my eyes.
At least this isn’t as bad as the time he posted Michael Richards’ racist rant without watching it first, under the title “Michael Richards’ Comedy Is Beyond Reproach And I Agree With Everything He Says”.
hey, I’m impressed!
I’m not so sure Colbert did get it right, Harry. Though he does correctly predict the categories for best supporting actress, best supporting actor, best actress, and best picture, he changes his mind with best actor. Inititially he lands on Penn, but, perhaps for patriotic reasons, he changes his mind and says it’ll be Rourke. It seems clear that he meant Rourke to be his final answer (Slumdog pun!). I don’t think there’s enough plausible deniability to assert otherwise.
Also, he seems to waver a bit with best picture, saying that maybe it’d be The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which seemed important. There was no graphic accompanying this slight change of heart as opposed to the highly produced and polished Penn-to-Rourke switheroo, so one could argue that it can’t be taken seriously. In short, Colbert predicted 3.5 or 4 out of 5, earning him a 70 or 80, depending on how easy a grader you are.
