Barbarian kicked off their month-long Soda Bar residency on Monday. The local psych-rockers were joined by fellow up-and-comers Dirty Sirens, who delivered a set of fierce, guitar-heavy rock. The two bands have each built reputations for strong live shows in recent months and, despite it being a Monday, they had no trouble pulling in a sizable crowd. Barbarian will be joined by Parquet Courts and Ditches at next week’s show.
