San Diego’s Pinback have just announced their first album in five years. The record, titled Information Retrieved, will drop on October 16 via the Temporary Residence Ltd. label.
The band’s previous full-length, 2007’s Autumn of the Seraphs, was released on Tough & Go Records. In the years since Seraphs, Pinback have continued to play shows around town, and frontman Rob Crow has kept himself busy with his usual dozens of side projects. Crow also released his solo debut, He Thinks He’s People, last year. Pinback’s Zach Smith revived his other band, Three Mile Pilot, this year for the release of the excellent Maps EP.
Pinback haven’t revealed any other details about Information Retrieved yet, but that should all come in due time.
