As a token of our undying love* and appreciation, we scholarly gentlemen at Owl&Bear are offering free passes to an advanced screening of Focus Features’ Hamlet 2 at the AMC La Jolla at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 21st.
Hamlet 2 stars the ineffable Steve Coogan alongside Catherine Keener, Amy Poehler, David Arquette, and Elisabeth Shue. The film is co-written by Pam Brady—best known for her work on South Park and Team America: World Police—and is guaranteed to make you die laughing.**
Those leading sheltered, mirthless lives and who have therefore not seen Coffee And Cigarettes, 24 Hour Party People, Hot Fuzz, or Tristram Shandy: A Cock And Bull Story, should at least remember Coogan as the guy whose pot was once called black by Courtney Love. Word on the street, though, is that Coogan’s pot is more of a darkish green.
To get your tickets, be one of the first to email us at admin@owlandbear.com with your name and postal address, and we’ll mail them to you. Each pass admits two, and the limit is one pass per household. These screenings are often overbooked to ensure a full house, so we recommend that you get there an hour (or more) early.
