Dr. Dog filled the Observatory North Park with their ’60s-inspired psych rock on Saturday.
The Pennsylvania band has been at this for a while now, so it should be no surprise that it sounds as tight as it does live. But it was still an unfettered joy to hear Dr. Dog deliver bright, intricate harmonies that sounded every bit as good as on their albums. Between that and the pungent weed smell wafting off of the large audience, there was a real sense of fun in the air.
