Smile Now Cry Later is back, and in a big way.

It’s been three years since one-woman band Lizeth Santos released her debut album, a collection of perfectly realized, crystalline pop guaranteed to get your butt moving like it’s got a mind of its own. Three years is way too long to wait for another dose of Smile Now Cry Later’s infectious bangers, but now the wait is finally over.

Santos released the surprise video for her new track, “In the Moonlight,” this weekend on Halloween. The timing is no coincidence: the black-and-white video (which the overachieving Santos directed and edited herself) takes place largely in a spooky, moonlit cemetery. And, though it’s been a while since she released her first album, we’re happy to report that Smile Now Cry Later sounds every bit as fun, polished, and catchy as we’ve come to expect.

“In the Moonlight” is the first single from Smile Now Cry Later’s forthcoming sophomore album Free Style, which means we have a lot more danceable goodness headed our way.
