Mini Mansions brought their Beatles-go-to-hell sound back to town for this year’s San Diego Music Thing. The LA trio shared the Saturday bill at Bar Pink with local acts The Zeros, Low Volts, and Neighbors to the North.
The band’s set blended tracks from their fantastic 2010 debut with songs from their long-awaited follow-up, which is set to be released on Capitol Records. And, because no Mini Mansions set would feel complete without it at this point, they also trotted out their trusty, excellent cover of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass.”
