The sun mercilessly roasted the crowd at the inaugural Golden Hill Street Fair on Sunday, but it didn’t matter.
The event, put on by Sezio with the help of the Golden Hill CDC, closed off a segment of 25th Street and furnished it with food stands, beer gardens, and a stage. The festival brought together some of San Diego’s finest bands, including The Donkeys, Cuckoo Chaos, The Tree Ring, and Little Deadman. By the time The Donkeys took the stage, tossing beach balls back and forth with the crowd, there was no doubt that the fun-filled event was a hit. Here’s hoping the folks at Sezio make it an annual tradition.
