The New York Times may call Todd Barry a “master of standup,” but that’s nothing we didn’t already know.
The comedian has three great albums under his belt, has toured the world, has appeared in TV series like Flight of the Conchords, Louie, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and even had a part in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler. (Plus, he’s a kick-ass drummer.)
Known for his monotone delivery — or Medium Energy as his 2011 album describes it — as well as his sense of irony, Barry is an astute, enjoyable, and lovable funnyman. He plays the Casbah on Sunday, and it’s pretty much a don’t-miss. Tickets may be purchased here.
