Stream: Wild Flag – “Romance”
At long last, the debut album from Wild Flag has a release date.
Wild Flag are, of course, the supergroup comprised of Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney), Mary Timony (Helium), Rebecca Cole (The Minders) and Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney, Quasi). Until now, the band has only put out one recording, the “Future Crimes”/”Glass Tambourine” 7-inch released on Record Store Day. The 2-song single was a tantalizing calling card for the group’s full-length debut, and now we know when we’ll get to hear it.
The album, appropriately titled Wild Flag, will be released on September 13 on Merge Records. There’s no way the record is going to be anything less than incredible, so you might as well pre-order it now.
As bands are wont to do, Wild Flag are supporting the album with a tour. And, lucky for us, that tour includes another stop at the Casbah on November 1, almost a year after the group played one of its first-ever shows there. You can check out the rest of the tour dates below.
